Wednesday the 3rd dawned… well, it didn’t really dawn so much as get gradually brighter as day-long rains kept the sun covered up.
Despite the soggy conditions the Townsend team pressed ahead with day camp and, at night, one of the most enjoyable presentations of the whole week: Auction Night!
Generous donations to the Townsend team are auctioned off for pretend money provided to the attendees. Everyone loves an auction and the action can get quite brisk.
Check out a sample of the bidding here:
Not only does Bro. Mike Rogers lead the bidding as auctioneer but, most importantly, he also presents the gospel to those in attendance halfway through the auction.
Please pray for the team as they finish the week. There are flash flood warnings for the remainder of the week and the weather has forced a change of plans on the 4th as the Townsend fireworks display has been pushed back until Sunday the 7th. Nonetheless, the campground is full of people who need to know Jesus – either for the first time or in greater intimacy.
